The COM1000 has the embedded network connectivity intelligence you’ve been looking for. Connectivity choices include Ethernet, dialup, remote access server, or ALL of these together. And when it comes to wireless, your choices are endless. The COM1000 can interface with any 802.11 Ethernet adapter (wireless bridge), as well as any private radio, satellite, or 3G cellular data modem, including both Ethernet and serial devices for GSM, GPRS, CDMA, EV-DO, HSUPA, and more. This ‘any network, any carrier, any modem’ approach is what enables the COM1000 to be seamlessly integrated into any dialup, LAN, WAN, or wireless architecture.

COM1000 Configuration Utility


The COM1000 Configuration Utility provides the ability to configure the device name, location, network configuration parameters, date and time, as well as the event triggers, applications, logging features, as well as FTP, Email and SMS message parameters for each digital input, analog input, and serial interface. Configuration is done using simple drop-down menus and text input boxes. No programming skills are required.

Support for AT Commands
To facilitate the integration of the COM1000 with applications or devices that do not use traditional SCADA or Telemetry protocols, the COM1000 also supports a set of AT Commands in a format similar to traditional Hayes-compatible AT Commands. However, because the device is not a modem, the similarities are modest. But anyone familiar with using AT Commands will feel quite comfortable using the device in this manner.
